The Romulan Republic Warbird Atlai is one of the first Republic manufactured warbirds. The newly designed Ar'Kif Tactical Warbird is the first ship that was created specifially by the Republic and not a re-purposed Star Empire ship. The R.R.W. Atlai, named after the large river running through the Staging Area of New Romulus, was awarded to Commander Vax for an excellent record in such a short period of time and that of a symbol of the new generation of Romulan captain.
